NEX Shopping Mall - Green Mark Gold Award

May 27 - NEX Shopping Mall at Serangoon Central was awarded the Green Mark Gold Award by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) in Singapore. The mall's 'Green Necklace' concept, which pulls landscaping through pockets of naturally-ventilated spaces around the building, weaves greenery into the shopping experience.

Singapore Motors at Alexandra Road, Singapore

May 14 2010 - SAA Architects was commissioned to design Wearnes' latest addition to their automobile enterprise - the Singapore Motors Showroom along Alexandra Road and Leng Kee Road, which houses the market's most luxurious imports. The building is designed to fulfill complex operational requirements in the back of house, while providing customers with an experience that is as exquisite as their objects of desire.

HDB Bukit Panjang N6 C11, Singapore

Apr 21 2010 - SAA was shortlisted to submit a proposal for HDB Bukit Panjang Neighbourhood 6 Contract 11. Our proposal integrates the landscape design of the precinct with the nearby forested Neighbourhood Park. Residents can enjoy seamless connectivity between the Neighbourhood Park and the surrounding precincts through our C11 precinct. The flats are lifted off the ground, creating a double height void deck. Landscape on the ground blends partially into the void deck, creating a "garden-like" sense of arrival for residents and visitors. Flats have views to the Neighbourhood Park or the landscaped areas within the precinct.

HDB Bukit Panjang N6 C10, Singapore

Jan 25 2010 - SAA entered into final found of design competition for HDB Bukit Panjang N6 C10. Our proposal utilizes the existing topography of the site, to create a sunken multi storey car park with a landscape deck above, that connects with the surrounding landscaping and apartment blocks. This site also acts as an entrance into the Bukit Panjang New Town. The stepping roof profile of the development presents an unique marker for the Neighbourhood and Town.

Schools Upgrading

December 8, 2009 - Singapore. In September 2009, The Ministry of Education (MOE) announced that it will be building 11 new primary schools and upgrading another 28 existing schools starting from end 2009. This is the first phase of the ministry's plans to enhance primary school infrastructure to facilitate the transition of primary schools to a single session, and is estimated to cost S$560 million.

SAA was awarded the upgrading projects of 4 existing primary schools - Chongfu, Jurong West, Queenstown and Seng Kang Primary Schools. With its experience working on both new and upgrading school projects through the years, the firm is poised to plan, design and deliver this set of schools as their latest quality products.
